The one of the many trade-offs in gun design is between barrel length and manuverability. The longer the barrell, the greater accuracy, but the more difficult to manuver in dense undergrowth and brush. The bull-pup design deals with this by moving the barrel and bolt as far back on the stock as possible to get the longest barrel on the shortest gun. Some like the design, others feel it's uglier than a mud fence. This is a .222 caliber "Bull Pup" rifle custom built by Reed's Gun Shop in Gary Indiana. Maple stock. Hensoldt duralyt 6x1222 scope. |
