USS Bataan CVL 29

The Museum is proud to exhibit Mr. Allen Lamont’s scale model of the Light Aircraft Carrier USS Bataan.  The Bataan served during World War II and the Korean War.  Mr. Lamont, a resident of Claremore, was Boatswain aboard the Bataan during the Korean War. He finished building this model 55 years after the ship was decommissioned in 1954. The model is on loan to the Museum and will be a temporary exhibit for an entire year.

The Museum has brought back its Oklahoma Medal of Honor Recipient exhibit with an added expansion.  We are seeking photos of Active Duty Service Men and Women from Rogers County and the Oklahoma Green Country area to post inside this exhibit.  We hope to have the case full of photos before Veterans Day, November 11.  Please help us.

The staff of the Museum is proud to open an exhibit recreating a portion of the Lobby and Coffee Shop of the Mason Hotel where Mr. Davis originally displayed his world-famous collection.
